El Capitan (Kirk)
If you’ve seen the scene in the movie, Kirk falls and is saved by Spock, per usual. El Capitan is one of those things you see on tv, and its looks really big and amazing and then when you see it in person, you think “Holy Crap”. Alex Honnold actually did climb this monster without Spock in levitation boots hovering by. I saw the documentary and it was amazing, and then I saw El Capitan in real life. Holy Crap. I met Alex Honnold and his wife in the parking lot next to City Rock downtown. We had just watched the documentary and recognized the van before recognizing him. They were very sweet and he had the softest hands.
