Denver, CO
From Raleigh, it was on to Albuquerque to see the fam, and then up to Denver. Driving into Colorado from NM at Raton Pass, I got a little teary eyed. Even though I dont really have a home, this is the closest I’ve got. A stop at my storage shed was bittersweet. All of my crap!
My sit in Denver was conveniently right across the street from my daughter! Surprise! It was also right next to a very nice restaurant with a roof top bar! Beautiful views of the Front Range of the Rockies. The sunsets & skies in the west are just a different animal than they are in the east. I went to Burndown several times with several different friends. A great spot!

I sat for two very easy, not very demanding kitties. My hosts had just about everything on an automatic timer, so this was a fun, easy hangout.
I purchased Kayak #5 (these things are awesome) and of course life jackets to go with. I had a great evening on Cherry Creek Lake with my daughter. Its awesome that there is a lake right in town. You can see we were really working hard! We found a squirt gun!

I had to take my car into the shop, and then had to take it back into the shop, so when it came time to meet my friends down in Centennial, it was either skip happy hour, or get creative. Denver public transportation is pretty good! There weren’t many people on the train, and it was great flying down next to I-25 seeing all those cars stuck in traffic. We met at The Perfect Landing, a great restaurant and bar overlooking the airport. They picked me up from the train station and deposited me there on the way back. There was a spectacular sunset on the way home, a great evening !

My friend from San Diego flew in for a family event and stayed with me at this sit. We wandered around the area and visited the mother ship. And then back to the house for pizza & rainbows.

More kids and pizza! I also got to plant some flower pots for their patio! I do miss my flower pots. The pizza is atomic!

A great stay in Denver, but time to move on. Next stop San Diego, via Albuquerque.
